Preparations are underway for the 40th USS Stark Memorial Service!! It's hard to believe it's been that long.
This is expected to be the largest Service to date so we're planning on adding more tents and seats. We're also looking into getting a new sound system with more speakers. As the plans are made, check back here for updates.
As always, this is an active US NAVY base and it will be a normal working day for them so expect some traffic to get through the gate. I would definitely get there early so that you don't miss out on anything.
Memorial Service Access Request
If you already have base access, just make sure you inform the gate guards that you're going to the Stark Memorial and they'll direct you on which way to go.
If you do not have base access, check back here at the beginning of 2027. This page will be updated to display a form for you to fill out that will be submitted to the base for them to do the background check. On the day of the service, just show your ID at the gate and let them know you're going to the Stark Memorial Service. They'll confirm your name on the list and should allow you to come to the Service.
Keep in mind, there is a hard cutoff date to request access. The base needs a full two weeks to conduct the background checks so the cutoff date will be April 30. After that date, no more requests will be accepted. If you do miss the cutoff date, the only way to get access would be to ride with someone that has full access. So, even if there is a 2% chance that you'll make it, please, fill out the form. We truly want our entire Stark family to attend.
