2026 USS Stark Memorial Service
The 2026 USS Stark Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 11:00am on Naval Station Mayport. Please be sure to arrive early as traffic at the gate can get backed up.
When you get to the gate, make sure you tell the guards that you're here for the Stark Memorial Service. They'll point you in the right direction. We will be directed straight down Mayport Road straight to one of these areas.
Handicap parking will be at the Housing Office, circled in BLUE. Please, only park there if you truly need it. The main areas to park are at the Kennels, the Golf Club, or the Field across the street from the golf club. All three of these areas are circled in RED. If you still can't find a spot, just park somewhere that is not blocking traffic. The Security Officer (SECO) will have all the roads in the area closed to normal traffic so we won't have a problem parking along the way. The CMC and I spoke with him this morning and he's happy to have us.
Also, this is an active military installation and it will be a normal working day for them so expect some traffic to get through the gate. I would definitely get there early so that you don't miss out on anything. And remember, the ceremony starts at 11am this year.

Memorial Service Access Request
I have submitted all the requests to the base. If you submitted your name, you should be able to show ID at the gate and your name should be on the list for access. Unfortunately, no more requests can be submitted due to the amount of time needed to conduct the background checks. If you still want to attend the Memorial Service, try to ride with someone that has full access.
